How to read this post
This post records dated changes visible on the pages we. It covers changes from December 2025 to October 2026. We only list a change when the page itself shows a date or when the page no longer exists; we did not compare against older copies.
Privacy policies with recent dates
- Fastweb's privacy policy shows "Last updated December 17, 2025" and is issued by Iron Corp US Inc. It says information "may be sold to colleges" and may be shared with data aggregators and marketers.
- ScholarshipOwl's privacy policy shows "Last revised December 23, 2025", issued by Scholarship Services, Inc., doing business as ScholarshipOwl. It says the company may sell identifiers and certain sensitive personal information, such as ethnicity and citizenship.
- Scholarships.com's privacy policy shows "Updated: April 17, 2026". It says the site may sell or share personal information, including for marketing and advertising.
- Bold.org's policy is older, effective August 29, 2024.
If you created a profile on one of these sites before those dates, the current policy is the one that applies now. It is worth a fresh read.
A closure
Going Merry is closed. Its website no longer loads, and it was reported to have shut down in March 2026. We list it on our ranking page as closed and do not score it.
A newly claimed review profile
Bold.org's Trustpilot profile shows "Claimed profile" since May 2026, with 4.8 from 218 reviews when we read it. A claimed profile means the company now manages it. ScholarshipOwl's has been claimed since May 2015.
Award deadlines around this edition
- Niche's $40,000 No Essay Scholarship listing showed a deadline of October 15, 2026, the day we read it.
- Scholarships.com's homepage featured the WGA Evans Scholars Program, a full-tuition award, with a deadline of October 15, 2026.
Check each funder's page for the next cycle; deadlines move.
A page that was not there
ScholarshipOwl's /upgrade page returned "404 NOT FOUND", and we found no public student pricing page. Its prices appear only in the signup flow, which we did not open. That is why every page on this site says ScholarshipOwl's prices are not on its public pages.
A new app listing
ScholarshipOwl's iOS app, sold by Scholarship Services Inc., had 4.7 out of 5 from 228 ratings on the US App Store. Its description mentions a credibility score on every scholarship, a guided application wizard, smart daily reminders and an iOS Live Activity. We did not read when it was first released.
What did not change, as far as we can tell
Database size claims, ownership lines and cost statements on the other sites carry no dates on the pages we read, so we cannot say when they last changed. We record them as.
Why dates matter
A scholarship site's terms, privacy policy and prices can change after you sign up. Note the date of anything you rely on, and re-read the privacy and refund sections once a year or when a site emails you about an update.
What we will do next
When a site publishes a change that affects one of our eight criteria, we will re-read it, update the facts and let the totals recompute. Corrections are welcome through the contact page.
How to keep your own record
If you rely on a scholarship site, keep a small record of your own: the date you signed up, the plan and price if you paid, the trial end date, and a copy or screenshot of the privacy and refund sections you agreed to. If terms change later, you will know what you signed up for and what changed. It takes five minutes and saves a lot of guesswork.
